1. How do I register?
You can use the registration form found on the Chocolate Tour Brochure or website OR Register online.
2. What are the registration fees?

3. Can I get a refund on my registration if I can’t participate or the weather is inclement?
Canceled Registration: We do not refund canceled registrations for any reason. Registrations are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend the event you may request your registration fee be counted as a donation, which you can request a letter for your taxes. All funds raised benefit cancer research.
Inclement Weather: There is no rain date. The event runs rain or shine. In case of severe weather the Chocolate Tour reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the tour for safety concerns. In any case, we do not refund tour fees or transfer registration to another year. In the unlikely case a tour is canceled, you may claim your registration fee as a tax-deductible donation
4. How old must I be to participate?
A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
5. Can runners and walkers register the day of the event?
Yes, but there is an additional $20 fee of original price. It is more expedient to pre-register. You must fill out the registration, waivers, and pay the registration fee upon arrival. This can delay your start and cause you to be late for your race.
6. If two or more family members are going to participate, can I complete one registration form?
No, each member must complete a registration form and sign a waiver. However, one check may be written.
7. When do the running and walking events begin?
The walking event begins at 9:00 A.M.. Walkers will line up behind runners and start after runners clear the area.
8. What is the distance of the course?
The event courses are 5K or 3.1 mile OR 10K or 6.2 miles in length.
9. What is the course like?
The event route is on a smooth path that travels through the Milton Hershey campus and surrounding areas.
10. Is the walk timed?
No, the walk is not timed. If you would like to be timed, please sign up as a runner to receive a bib number.
11. What if I get lost or injured?
The route will be clearly marked and volunteers will be available along the route to redirect you if you experience difficulties with finding your way. If you are injured or feeling ill, the volunteers can direct you to the next rest stop and ensure that you arrive there safely. EMS is onsite until noon.
12. How frequent are rest stops along the racing course?
Rest stops are positioned at approximately every mile along the route.
13. What is available at rest stops?
Each stop will provide runners and walkers with local chocolate to sample and water.
14. The Chocolate Tour is a cup-free event. What does that mean?
There will be disposable drinking cups available at the rest stops. Runners and walkers may bring their own water bottles and hydration packs to refill.
15. Will there be refreshments provided after the race?
Yes, refreshments are available at the start/finish area and in concession stand. All registrations include a meal after your event.
16. Are strollers and pets allowed?
Yes, strollers and pets are permitted at the event. However, pet owners must be prepared to clean up after and take care of their pet. There are no designated shaded areas to keep your pet out of the heat on the course. Please bring adequate water for your pets. Pets are NOT allowed to be left in cars.
17. How will the profits from the event be used?
The Chocolate Tour funds cancer research at the Penn State University.
18. Is there a difference between early registration and pre-registration?

- Early Registration - Is payment of registration before price increase deadline. Registering early eliminates paperwork/payment on day of event, guarantees a commemorative T-shirt/event items & lowest entry fees.
- Pre-registration- This simply means you have registered before the day of the event. You still save time by eliminating paperwork and payment on day of event but Does NOT guarantee a commemorative T-shirt/event items, Late fees could still apply.
